Louisville and Superior, located just under four miles from each other, are both located in Boulder County. While Superior has a population of about 13,000 residents, Louisville is slightly bigger, with just over 20,000 residents. Although slightly different in personalities, both of these mountain towns are known for being family-oriented communities with an emphasis on active living.
 
The town of Louisville dates back to 1877 and began as a coal mining town. The original residents here were tough and resourceful individuals, and that resilience and community spirit is still evident in Louisville today. Likewise, Superior’s origins were in coal mining. The mines in the area were developed in the late 1800s, and the town was founded in 1896.
 
A drive through these tranquil communities will reveal varied architectural styles. Styles range Craftsman to Ranch to Victorian-style homes, allowing you to find a style that best suits your preferences. There’s something for everyone in these two cozy towns!
